Small Scale. Full Speed.

Now With Moving Pictures.

Scale Speed Syndicate has officially expanded into YouTube.

For years, SSS has documented 1/64-scale motorsport through photographs, race reports, garage updates, questionable engineering decisions, and an archive containing considerably more evidence than our legal department would probably recommend.

Now some of it moves.

The Scale Speed Syndicate YouTube channel is where we are beginning to bring the SSS world to life through short race films, garage scenes, behind-the-scenes moments, and occasional incidents that will undoubtedly be described later as “part of the development program.”

WHAT YOU’LL FIND THERE

The videos are short by design.

Rather than trying to turn tiny diecast cars into feature-length cinema, the goal is to capture little moments from around the Syndicate:

  • Race finishes and track action

  • Garage inspections and repairs

  • Behind-the-scenes SSS operations

  • Mechanical problems of highly suspicious origin

  • Visits from management

  • And the continuing adventures of Axel, our remarkably patient 1/64-scale mechanic

Axel does not say much.

Actually, Axel does not say anything.

Management, unfortunately, does.

AXEL’S WORLD

One of our newest video projects is Axel’s World, a series of short episodes following life inside the Scale Speed Syndicate garage.

Axel works on the cars.

Management checks on Axel.

Management asks questions.

Axel reacts.

This arrangement has proven surprisingly efficient.

The episodes are deliberately simple, somewhere between miniature motorsport documentary and an extremely small workplace comedy.

And because this is Scale Speed Syndicate, the cars remain the important part.

Mostly.

THE SSS SIGNATURE

As the channel develops, you may notice a few things appearing regularly.

The Scale Speed Syndicate introduction.

The familiar British voice announcing:

“You’re watching Scale Speed Syndicate on YouTube.”

The garage.

The cars.

The occasional hand belonging to someone who probably should not be interfering with the mechanics.

And, of course, the sound of a race car disappearing into the distance at the end.

These little recurring details are becoming what we call the SSS signature, the small touches that make each video feel like another glimpse into the same slightly improbable motorsport organization.

WE’RE LEARNING AS WE GO

We should probably make one thing clear.

We are not professional filmmakers.

This has become apparent.

Our first videos are experiments in camera movement, miniature physics, sound design, editing, storytelling, and discovering how many different ways a 1/64-scale mechanic can express concern without speaking.

Some experiments work beautifully.

Some become valuable technical research.

And some are quietly escorted from the building.

But that is part of the fun.

Scale Speed Syndicate has always been about building something, racing it, studying what happened, and trying again.

Apparently that philosophy works for filmmaking too.

COME WATCH THE SYNDICATE

The SSS YouTube channel will continue growing alongside the website, Archive, Facebook, and Instagram, giving us another way to document this fictional little motorsport world we have somehow begun taking very seriously.

New races are coming.

New garage stories are coming.

Axel has already returned to work.

And management has been advised to stop touching things.

We expect compliance to be low.

The garage lights are still on. The work continues.
